M.E Embedded System Technologies has been introduced in Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the academic year 2012 - 2013. This is a 2-year master’s degree course in engineering offered on a semester pattern by the affiliating Anna University Chennai.
Embedded systems will be the pathway for the next generation’s new inventions. The Programme is committed to impart research and industry based quality education for developing innovative Embedded Engineers. This course will provide a platform for the budding engineers and graduates to pay more attention over Research and Development. Embedded revolution has begun to creep into every aspect of modern life. It has begun to transform the shape and form of the technological society forever right from microchip devices to futuristic software solutions for handheld units.
Embedded systems arena is also dominated by some of the top players and most of the top software companies in India and Abroad.. The Indian semiconductor and embedded design industry is projected to grow from $3.3 billion in 2005 to $43 billion in 2015. This tremendous rate of growth will require a large number of skilled professionals.
The department is equipped with the state of the art laboratories, separate department library to cater to the research and syllabus requirement. The Department has highly qualified and motivated faculty members, having extensive teaching / research experience and has several International / National Journal and Conference publications to their credit. Departments’ collaboration with Industries will help the students to interact with the practicing engineers and get the expertise about the cutting edge technologies.
