UG Courses - B.E. COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING
The Department of Computer Science has proudly been a pillar of RGCE growth. It’s existence emerged right from the birth of RGCE i.e. from 2001 onwards with an intake of 60 students. The Department has grown rapidly ever since its establishment and has also started the post graduate programme M.E Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 18 students in 2010. Eminent faculties and strong leadership are the pulse of this department, which makes it to be a proud associate to this college.

Computer science engineering is a discipline that integrates several fields of electrical engineering and computer science required to develop computer hardware and software. Computer engineers usually have training in electronic engineering, software design, and hardware-software integration. Computer engineers are involved in many hardware and software aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers, and supercomputers, to circuit design. This field of engineering not only focuses on how computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate into the larger picture.
Usual tasks involving computer engineers include writing software and firmware for embedded microcontrollers, designing VLSI chips, designing analog sensors, designing mixed signal circuit boards, and designing operating systems. Computer engineers are also suited for robotics research, which relies heavily on using digital systems to control and monitor electrical systems like motors, communications and sensors.

The dynamic faculties, meritorious students, specialized labs are the strengths of the department.

Computer engineers are concerned with analyzing and solving computer-oriented problems. It is the heart of all  high tech applications such as intelligent game playing, mobile applications, smart robots, cloud computing, data security, social networks, or bioinformatics.

The Computer Science and engineering offers exciting, intellectually challenging, and rapidly growing career opportunities. Computer engineers typically have the highest starting salaries in engineering and have the option of moving into hardware as well as to software positions.
The industries hiring computer engineers include multinational companies, financial services, computer manufacturers, chemical companies, defense contractors, transportation, manufacturing, and consumer goods.
